OUR FACILITIES
Wedgewood currently provides 5 tennis courts and two pickleball courts for use by members. No reservations are required, however tennis camps and program lessons with our tennis professional take precedent. We ask that you limit your play to 1 hour if other members are waiting. Access to all courts is available during regular Wedgewood hours.

ABOUT OUR PRO
Mitch Winkler will be returning for his tenth year as the tennis professional at the Wedgewood Swim Club. He comes with an extensive background as a player, teacher, and coach. Mitch was a former Courier Post All-South Jersey Player of the Year, former Number 1 ranked Junior, and twice half of the Number 1 ranked Men’s Doubles Team in New Jersey. In 2021, Mitch was inducted into the inaugural class of the South Jersey Tennis Hall of Fame.
Mitch has been the tennis director of the Haddonfield Tennis Association for 20 years.
Mitch coached the Girls Tennis Team at Paul VI High School for 10 years. He led the team to its first and only South Jersey Parochial A Sectional Championship and was named the Philadelphia Inquirer South Jersey High School Girls Tennis Coach of the Year in 2002. Mitch returned to coaching in 2013 and in 2015 led the Bishop Eustace Girls Team to the South Jersey Non-Public A Sectional Championship, becoming the only high school girls coach in South Jersey history to win a sectional championship at two different schools.

FREE MEMORIAL DAY CLINIC
Mitch will be offering a free one-hour clinic for juniors on Monday, May 29, from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Anyone who is planning on attending should email Mitch at mwinkler5@verizon.net by May 27.
SUMMER JUNIOR TENNIS CAMP
Mitch will be directing a summer camp from June 22 to September 1 for juniors between the ages of 6 and 18. The camp will run Monday to Friday from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm. The cost will be $170 per week if prepaid prior to the start of the attending week, or $40.00 per day for those who wish to attend only on specific days.
Juniors attending only on specific days are requested to give Mitch advance notice by contacting him at Office (856) 428-8541, Cell (856) 816-3343, or mwinkler5@verizon.net the night before.

SUMMER CLINICS FOR SWIM AND DIVE TEAM MEMBERS
Mitch will be offering a 5 week junior program this summer for swim and dive team members between the ages of 6 and 18. The program will be held on both Tuesdays and Thursdays. It will begin on Tuesday, June 27 and end on Thursday, July 27. The cost for each child will be $135. If any swim or dive team member is interested in attending additional days, contact Mitch for details. Make check payable to Mitch Winkler and send to him at 1224 Liberty Bell Drive, Cherry Hill, NJ 08003-2759 by June 24. Also include your child’s name and age.

SUMMER TENNIS TOURNAMENT
Mitch will be holding a summer tennis tournament the weekend of July 21 – 23 for both juniors and adults of all ages and ability levels. If you are interested, email Mitch at mwinkler5@verizon.net for an entry form.
