Jim returns for his 29th year as Head Coach at Wedgewood Swim Club. Jim started off his own swim career at Wedgewood back on the 1960’s & came back to coach not only hundreds of swimmers, but his own children as well. He looks forward coming back for another season of hard work, good sportsmanship & being good people!

Leigh Anne returns for her 3rd season with the Wedgewood Ducks. Leigh Anne started swimming at Erlton Swim Club. She also swam for Jersey Wahoos and Cherry Hill West. Leigh Anne went on to study Elementary Education & Sociology at Villanova University. While at Villanova, she swam for the Wildcats. She specialized in distance freestyle & butterfly. After graduating from Villanova, she coached at Jersey Wahoos for 4 yrs. Leigh Anne now teaches third grade at Central Elementary School.

Abby will be a 2021 graduate of Haddonfield Memorial HS after which she plans to continue her studies where she will double major in creative writing & early childhood education. She has been swimming competitively for 10 yrs with Coach Villa and also swims year found with SJAC. Abby is very excited to return for her third year as an assistant coach with the Ducks & Learn to Swim Instructor.

Abbey Neveling returns to be an assistant coach for this season with the Wedgewood Ducks. Abbey started swimming at Wedgewood swim club under Coach Villa at the age of 7. She also swam at Jersey Wahoos and for Haddonfield Memorial High School. Abbey went to study Elementary Education at Michigan State University, while competing as a varsity swimmer for the Spartans. She specialized in IM, breaststroke, and sprint freestyle. Recently finishing her student teaching, Abbey plans to stay in the area to further pursue her education career.

John Morris

Head Dive Coach

We are pleased to welcome John Morris back for his fourth summer as the Head Coach of the Wedgewood Dive Team! As a member of the Rowan University Swimming and Diving Team, John was a five-time NCAA All-American and Academic All-American Diver, and the NJ Athletic Conference Diver of the Year for four straight years. He is the current record holder for the 6 dive 3m as well as 6 and 11 dive 1m events. John brings a great deal of coaching experience to his role at Wedgewood. He is the Head Coach of the Rowan University Dive Team after serving as the Assistant Coach in the 2017-18 season. He has also been an Assistant Coach at Top Spin Diving and the Head Coach for the West Deptford High School Dive Team.

Kate Hoover, 17, has been diving for Wedgewood for nine years and has attended seven South Jersey Diving Championships. She also dove for Centennial Dive Club at La Salle University for six years, and is currently a member of the PTAC diving club at Princeton University. She dives for Haddonfield Memorial High School, where she is a rising senior. She has competed in two State competitions for high school, in which she has been very successful. In 2019 she attended AAU Diving Nationals in Riverside, California.

Alex Nuckols

Alex Nuckols is 15 years old, and will be his 10th year diving for Wedgewood Swim Club. He has attended nine South Jersey Diving Championships. He dove for Centennial Dive Club at La Salle University for six years, and is currently a member of Jersey Diving Academy at TCNJ. He is a rising sophomore at Haddonfield Memorial High School where he dove this past school year. He has attended three National competitions since his first in 2016, and in 2019 won the 14-15 Boys 1 meter event at AAU Diving Nationals in Riverside, California.
